What is Corporate Housing?

 
Corporate housing is fully furnished apartment living without committing to a year-long lease with a property. Our minimum stay is 30 days; but after that initial 30 days, you can stay 1, 2, 3+ months as long as you provide the proper notice to vacate of your firm departure date (as detailed in your lease agreement). In addition, if you depart mid-month (say you need to stay 42 days), we only bill you for those dates. Once past that initial 30 days, we work around your schedule!

We provide temporary furnished accommodations for those who are relocating for business, traveling for work, in-between homes, or are having their current residence renovated. Our suites provide all the comforts and luxuries of home while you are temporarily displaced from yours! No need to stress about apartment hunting, we will find availability in a neighborhood and building that best suits your needs. What is the Difference Between Corporate Housing and Staying at a Hotel?

 
As opposed to staying at a hotel, corporate housing enables you to stay in a fully furnished full-sized apartment that you can really call home.  You can set up temporary residence and receive mail at this location, and truly call your corporate apartment your “home away from home.” You will have a full-sized kitchen with refrigerator, oven, microwave and stove, plus most of the units have in-unit washer/dryer.

Plus, you get all the personal touches of a hotel including weekly or bi-weekly housekeeping and 24/7 door service, all while living in a residential building. Also, it often becomes less expensive to stay in a corporate apartment if your stay will have you in temporary housing for more than 2 weeks. There is no hotel tax in Chicago for stays of 30+ days. That tax is 17.4% , so that is quite a bit of savings!

 What Kind of Units do you Have for Rent?

 
Suite Home provides fully furnished studios, convertibles, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, or 3 bedroom apartments. We also have access to some private homes and condominiums, but these often require 1-year commitments. Just let our sales team know your needs, and we will be creative in providing temporary housing options.

The apartments are located throughout downtown Chicago and the suburbs, and throughout Wisconsin. We have partners throughout the world, and can assist if you have needs outside the Midwest. What Furnishings are Provided?

 
Every Suite Home Chicago apartment is fully furnished, so no need to bring anything but you and your personal effects! All suites are stocked with all the kitchen essentials, linens, bed and bath essentials, and home electronics you need. Every guest is welcomed with a Suite Home starter kit that includes basic toiletries and conveniences.

What Utilities are Included?

 
Utilities such as electricity*, water, gas, heat, expanded basic cable, and wireless internet are included with your rental. We also set up all phones as business lines so that you can call anywhere in the United States at no additional charge. Plus, additional channels can be added upon request and movies can be ordered On Demand for an additional fee.

(*Electricity capped at $100/month for studio; 1 Bedroom apartments, $150/month for 2-bedroom apartments and $175/month for 3-bedroom apartments)

The only additional charges you would face are for pet or parking fees, international phone calls or pay-per-view charges.

Can I Bring My Pet?

 
Of course! Suite Home Chicago is pet friendly, and while certain buildings have breed restrictions, weight limitations, and pet floors, we have apartments available that are pet accessible. Additional pet fees apply, and vary by building. Also, current vet records and proof of vaccinations must be provided. Pets must be registered with the buildings prior to arrival.

You must notify Suite Home Chicago prior to signing your lease that you will be bringing a pet. Not all units are pet friendly, and we must be certain to secure you the correct apartment.

Is There Parking?

 
Most buildings have a parking garage on-site or nearby. Parking is a separate charge from rent, and typical garages charge between $255-$350/month downtown. Parking at our suburban locations is typically included or free and on-site. While Suite Home will set up parking for corporate clients (if needed), we ask that individual renters arrange for parking on their own.

 What Amenities are Included?

 
Amenities vary from building to building. Most of our suites are in luxury buildings that may include indoor and outdoor pools, sundecks, saunas, grill areas, fitness and business centers, and a 24-hour doorman. Most are also within walking distance of public transportation, grocery stores, and nearby shopping. Suite Home guests have free access to the building amenities and will be provided a fob for entry to those areas upon move-in.

Suite Home has furnished apartments all over the Chicagoland & Wisconsin areas. However, we can definitely assist with your national or international nees. We have corporate housing partners throughout the world, and we can assist with your temporary needs outside the Midwest. Can I Tour the Apartments?

 
Yes, you can. However, tours are scheduled on a by appointment basis only. In addition, we will not tour occupied units. If our units are full, we may not be able to tour apartments, just the buildings. Please check out our photo and video tours online for more details on our apartments. What is the Pricing?

 
Pricing for corporate housing is competitive with seasonal hotel rates… but remember you’re getting more with those dollars! You’ll have a full-sized kitchen, possibly an in-unit washer/dryer (varies by properties), and more living space. Our peak season runs April through November, so rates and availability are tighter during these times. Please try to plan ahead and book accordingly. We can set reservations in the future, but not confirm apartment numbers often until just prior to arrival.

How Do I Pay?

 
Suite Home accepts corporate/personal checks, wire, American Express, Mastercard and Visa. Payment is due prior to arrival for your 1st month’s stay, and then on the 1st of the month thereafter. Rent is pro-rated to your departure date once your notice to vacate is turned in to our office. There is a 2.5% processing fee for any rent paid by credit card.
